Peter Buck
Peter Buck was born in Oakland, California on December 6 1956. After moving from town to town he arraived in Roswell, a town just outside Athens in Georgia (1970). When he was nineteen he enrolled in Athens University and got a job in a small second hand record store called Wuxtrey. Soon he met Micheal Stipe who was an Art student at the time who's hobbies included browsing through Wuxtreys record collection and picking out the records Buck had put back for himself, the two became friends. Michael wanted to be in a band and Peter was introduced to Berry at a party a month later and with them meeting Mills shortly after that they formed R.E.M.
After playing a couple og gigs in Peters apartment converted from a church they played at Tyrones and the forty watt until IRS noticed them.
