Mike Mills
Mike Edwood Mills was born in Orange County, California in 1958 and at the age of 12 he met Bill Berry in High School. At first they were the worst of enemys with Mills being a strait A student with a spotless record and Berry just starting to get into soft drugs. One day Berry went to a rehersal for a band only to discover that Mills was the bass guitarest. Bill stormed off but came back and joined the band where he formed a friendship with Mike and they both moved to Athens university.
Mike went to local campus bars every night until one day Berry introduced him to someone he met at a party called Peter Buck. Mike Mills, Bill Berry, Peter Buck and Peter Bucks friend Michael Stipe started performing in Peters run down church.
