New Adventures in Hi Fi

R.E.M's tenth Album, New Adventures in Hi Fi reached No.1 in the UK and stayed in the top ten for five weeks with the success of singles like Bittersweet Me, E-Bow the Letter and Electrolite. The new album also donated one of its songs to the soundtrack of the film 'A Life Less Ordinary' and has had more than 2 million copies of the album sold in the first three monthes. The album starts off with the wierdest of there songs 'How the West was won and where it got us' but progresses to electric rock with the 'wake up bomb' and continues on that theme for most of the album apart from Be Mine which is a slightly more emotional song.
